Birth - PreK

Village Kids provides a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where babies through four-year-old Pre-K children are cared for and introduced to the love of Christ.  Through age-appropriate Bible lessons, worship, prayer, Scripture, songs, and hand-on activities, children begin to learn biblical truths. Our goal is to partner with parents, helping them lay a strong biblical foundation during these important developmental years so that children, even at a young age, can know what it means to obey God and follow Christ.

K - 3rd Grade

Village Kids provides a fun, engaging, Christ-centered environment where kindergarten through third grade children are taught the truth of God’s Word. Through Bible lessons, worship, Scripture memory, small group discussion, games, and activities, children are encouraged to grow in their understanding of Jesus and begin to live out their faith. Our goal is to partner with parents in building a strong biblical foundation during these formative years and to help children take meaningful steps towards becoming lifelong followers of Christ.

4th - 5th GRADE

Segway is a Christ-centered ministry designed specifically for fourth and fifth grader preteens as they begin to grow in independence, deepen their understanding of God’s Word, and take greater ownership of their faith. Through engaging Bible teaching, worship, small group discussion, Scripture study, and fun activities, students are encouraged to move beyond learning about God to actively applying His truth in their daily lives. Our goal is to partner with parents, helping preteens build a strong biblical foundation and develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

WHERE DO I TAKE MY CHILDREN?

Come into the main entrance of the Sanctuary and head to the Welcome Desk where one of our Connections team members will assist you and guide you to the children’s area.

As a first time guest, you can expect to be greeted by a member of our team and guided through our welcome/check in process. We will gather information about your family and children and walk you and your kids to their small groups. We employ a security system check in and out with name tags and claim numbers for each child of your family.

We have a large group of wonderful volunteers and staff who will care for and educate your preschooler during any church wide programming. They will be grouped according to developmental stage (babies/toddlers) and/or age (ages 2-4). We offer care during the main worship services at 9:00 am and 10:30 am each Sunday morning.

Please supply any special instructions (feeding, allergy, etc) to one of our volunteers when you check in. Also, please be sure to pack any supplies that will be needed (diaper, pacifier, bottle with water, juice, of formula, etc) to care for your child. If you are nursing your child, we provide a private space for this purpose, on your schedule. We do offer simple snacks of saltine crackers and water from time to time. If you provide a snack for your child, we ask that it be free of peanuts.

Elementary children begin in their classroom with early arrival activities. Then they have group Worship, their teaching lesson, and then wrap up with games or activities. Our Elementary curriculum used for Elementary classes is from Answers in Genesis.

Check in begins 15 minutes prior to the start of service. We ask that you pick up your children within 10 minutes after the end of the service being attended.

ANNUAL EVENTS

VILLAGE FALL FEST

We host our annual Fall Fest event at the Farm at Ridgeway, in October. This is a large, family-friendly event open to the entire community. We will have hayrides, horse rides, bounce houses, a pumpkin patch, food trucks, and a lot of candy.

EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA

Each spring we host our Easter Eggstravaganza with thousands of Easter eggs, candy, food, and music by VillageWorship. This is a great family event, and you don’t want to miss it.

WINSHAPE SUMMER CAMP

WinShape Camp is a next-level summer camp experience for kids to have fun while learning more about Jesus. This week-long camp is for Completed Kindergarten through 5th grade.
