VILLAGE groups

What is a Village Group?

Village Groups exist in three categories: Life VGroups, Community VGroups, and Equip VGroups. Each type of Group guides you through the discipleship process at Village Church. Equip Groups will be offered through Community Groups and various ministries at Village Church. Scroll below for a description of each group.

How do I find a Group?

STEP 1

There are three types of village groups: Life VGroups, Community VGroups, and Equip VGroups. Take a look at the descriptions below to find a group that best fits you.

STEP 2

If you find a group that interests you then click the available link for that group, which will allow you to send the leader an email saying you are interested in that group.

STEP 3

A leader from that group will reach out to. If you do not hear from them within a couple of days email the church office and someone will reach out to you.

There are 3 types of vgroups

We believe people need a core network of Christian friends to lean on, share insights, pray for one another, and grow in faith through weekly gatherings.
Life VGroups

Goal of a Life Group – Life VGroups are an on ramp for discovering Village Church and will also help guide you through key moments in your life. Topics include, finance, marriage, parenting, etc.

Seasons change throughout a person’s life, which bring new challenges. Life Groups are classes that reflect a specific topic that pertains to a specific season one may be going through. Life Groups are not only a way to meet a specific need, but they are a great introduction into the Village Group ministry. A Life Group could be an introductory class about Christianity (Fresh Start), a marriage class or Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. Classes may be offered regularly, once a year or multiple times a year. Click the link below to see what Life Classes Village Church has to offer.
Community VGroups

Goal of a Community Group – Community VGroups gather Christian’s in their neighborhood with the purpose of making an impact in their community, challenging people to serve and share Jesus while also participating in sermon based bible studies.

Village Church exists to “Love God and Love People.” Matthew 22:37-39 says, “37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Community Groups exist to provide Christ-driven relationships among our neighborhoods and allow the people of Village Church a chance to “love their neighbor” through serving, praying and creating outreach opportunities in their neighborhood. We believe God has placed you where you are to be a light. Community VGroups strive to be a light for Christ in our neighborhoods and for our neighbors. Community VGroups are offered to 9th grade and up and are located throughout the community where a Village Church campus exists.
Equip VGroups

Goal of Equip VGroups – Provide one on one discipleship equipping people to grow in God’s Word and live “life” together.

One of the most important forms of discipleship is based on one on one relationships. Jesus not only taught his disciples but he also was a part of their daily life. These relationships are intended to allow men and women who are seasoned in their faith to walk alongside someone equipping them with the tools necessary to be strengthened in their relationship with Christ. Equip Groups will be made up of no more than 3 people per facilitator. An ideal group would have one person per facilitator or two depending on the relationship established between the facilitator and attendee. Only a special occurrence would allow one facilitator to have a group of 3. is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Community Groups exist to provide Christ-driven relationships among our neighborhoods and allow the people of Village Church a chance to “love their neighbor” through serving, praying and creating outreach opportunities in their neighborhood. We believe God has placed you where you are to be a light. Community VGroups strive to be a light for Christ in our neighborhoods and for our neighbors. Community VGroups are offered to 9th grade and up and are located throughout the community where a Village Church campus exists.
