The sermon begins in the parking lot. Our parking team wants to make your first moments some of your best moments as they safely welcome you to Village Church. Each member will greet you with a smile and guide you to a parking spot to best accommodate your family’s needs. From “First Time Guests” to parents with children the parking team has you covered. We hope you will be a part of the “first” first impression at Village Church.
Have the gift of hospitality or love the smell of a freshly brewed cup of coffee or a luscious glazed doughnut? Then hospitality is for you! Each week our hospitality team assures attendees that they have a fresh treat ready for them. Hospitality members make sure our hospitality area is ready for your enjoyment, that the coffee bars are ready to be poured and that our volunteers have a refresher to brighten their day. We hope you will be a part of an important ministry full of aroma and fun!
Sunday morning can be some of the most stressful mornings of the week. Your children will not cooperate, the Saturday night game went into overtime or you may just not want to be at church but someone else made you come. Whatever it may be, our greeters are always ready to welcome you with open arms, because no matter what you have been through or are going through we are excited you are here. Greeters are friendly faces made up of regular people who love to embrace with first time guests, regular attendees or anyone who sets foot on our campus. A little conversation could turn into a lifelong friendship or most importantly an eternal relationship with Jesus. Greeters are available on the sidewalk, front door, welcome area, and back door assuring you feel loved as you come to Village Church. We hope you will be a part of an important team ready to share the most important message anyone could receive, which is Jesus loves you.
The lights are dim and you do not know where to go? This is a normal occurrence for someone attending Village Church. Our ushers assure that each attendee will be safely taken to a seat on Sunday. The section looks too full? Not a problem, our ushers will find a place for you to sit and guide you to your seat, so you do not have to enter alone. Usher want to make sure there are plenty of available seats and that you feel comfortable walking into the service. Ushers are also responsible for taking up the offering following the announcements. The final opinion of someone’s perspective on First Impressions is the Usher, which is why it is one of the most important areas you can serve. We hope you will decide to be a part of this team ensuring a great church service experience for all our attendees.
